Karl and I split on Monday. I have to admit it seems pretty radical to make my May ‘me’ thing the end of our 12+ year relationship (I was just thinking about learning to swim) but there we go.

I’m currently in the position of having to majorly overhaul our routine, finances, domestic crap so may not blog regularly for a while. Bear with me, folks!

    I already gave you my love and support, but more will never hurt. Obviously it will be a difficult transition, but you are such a strong, smart woman and mother and you will all be okay.     No, we never planned it, did we kiddo? 12+ years, 13 animals, 1 house, 2 kids…and poof, there it goes in the wind. Sigh.

    As Jem says, everything is upside-down at the mo. I suspect it will be for a while, for us all. The reality is going to sink in eventually, but I concur with you Jem – it’s surreal, and it’ll take time to process and accept and adapt.

    I’m devastated, Jem is also pretty hectic as you can tell..the kids are adapting slowly. But, at least it was amicable, and mutual, and we’re dedicated to keeping things on a level for the kids and keeping in contact as friends, as well as parents, and raising our kids as a joint entity the best way we can.

    It’s the end of life as we know it..we’ve barely known anything else. Possibly that was an underlying factor, who knows.

    But I’m not going to let you fall, Jem. Couple, or 2 good friends – you still mean just as much to me, and we’ve got 2 gorgeous kids together, which is forever. I still have your back, that’s not going to change..I hope you would have mine too, but that’s your choice. :) You are not unloved, never forget that.
