Best Phishing Mail Ever
I just found this phishing e-mail in my junk box. I find it absolutely hilarious:
Subject: This is an official notification from United Kingdom Government
For security reasons, you must update your account to protect your bank account from disable.
Please Click Here to complete your account update. Click here then click to your bank logo to start the validation process.United Kingdom Government.
There’s something about the audacity of the subject… the idea that the UK government — which, incidentally, couldn’t organise a piss-up in a brewery — would start mailing out zomg important bank account security warnings is pure comedy gold.
Unfortunately, the page itself had already been taken down so I couldn’t have a look at it :(

ZOMG! I NEED TO VALIDATE M'BANK ACCOUNT!
I actually don't think I've ever received a phishing email. But maybe that's because I choose to ignore 95% of my inbox. =/
You have laugh at how ridiculous of a scenario they can come up with, but there are still people that fall for it… X|

Saying that the Government "couldn't organise a piss-up in a brewery" made me laugh. For ages. It's true, though. They're always losing some important files so hardly anyone trusts them.
I've never received an email like that before. I ignore my inbox most of the time, just like Eka! :P

I guess someone is sat there patiently waiting for his/her 'skillfu'l email phishing attempts to bear fruit. Shame the page is down now, would have made a hilarious read.

You think that's cool? Well, I've won the Chinese and Nigerian lottery about 6 times now. I'm like a multimillionaire! How snazzy is that?

Hahaha, what about this one:
You have to confirm your win by sending an email with your full name,Address,Mobile phone number and your winning code. You have been selected due to the fact that you have sent more than 3 txts/email messages in 2months.
The funniest part about this is that I don't text, nor use that email to send messages. So the whole "3 txts/email messages" isn't even true. XD

Wow!! lol :P That's crazy! I've gotten emails similar to that such as I won a trip to Africa about 3 times. And I've won a cruise about 6. I wonder if some people actually fall for it… :P

I work at a bank and we deal with customers believing these sorts of emails all the time. Stuff like "I am trying to deposit ten thousand pounds into your account, please send me your account details and I will do so." And they phone up and say it's not working. I end up face planking the desk and swearing silently in my mind whilst instructing them what to do.

@ Sho – You're kidding? That must be terrible. I just can't believe that people would believe wholeheartedly that some random person would just deposit money into their account like its no one's business. Seriously?
I've gotten a bunch of those and ones saying how some "master" is dying in Africa and they want to put all of his bajillions of dollars into my (non-existent) bank account. I'm pretty darn sure that before an accountant (that is what they are, no?) puts any money from his late "master" into my account, he'll be making bank way before that!

I get emails like that all the damn time. One time, I actually had what appeared to be my bank email me telling me I needed to update my info. It had the logo, they even masked their email address to look like it actually came from my bank. I, of course, didn't fall for it, but I can imagine how someone who doesn't know any better would. It's so sad that people are always trying to take advantage.. and they don't even care WHO they're taking advantage of. They'll clear some little old lady out of her last bit of money as long as it goes into their own pockets. :(

I get creeped out about all these scam online. I'm always just deleting all the spam I get on my junk email account. That brings me to my next point. Spam is one of the most annoying things I encounter. It's just so irritating, hence the junk email account.

Rather frightening how many people actually falls for these scams.
I've received numerous mails from long-lost uncles and great-aunts with millions in their pockets just waiting to dive into my bank account (which I don't have..). Like if someone is ever going to give all their money to you, for just a few thousand in exchange.
I wonder what happened to my uncle…?

LOL phishing fail. Also, because if there really was a nationwide security issue with banking, the gov't would so just use their handy dandy e-address book that lists everyone in the country's e-mail address.

That is a hilarious fake, but no doubt it worked on some! That is the sad thing.. no matter how bad the scam is, SOMEBODY falls for it.
