A Witty Blog

I found a rather witty blog by way of the .net forum earlier this week. An excerpt; my favourite part so far:

Hayley’s cat (interestingly named Cat) is used to a rather expensive brand of catfood, however, she’s recently been forced into eating a Lidle concoction and seems to be suffering no ill effects. The brand she used to eat came in a plethora if interesting flavours, one of which was beef. This rasied the question of when anyone last saw a common or garden moggy last taking down a fully grown cow for dinner – or even a lamb or turkey. Catfood should come in mouse or rat flavour.

Audrey Hepburn’s cat was called Cat in Breakfast at Tiffany’s. :P

Did it eat rat flavoured cat food?

Haha. Based on observations from my own dog, dog food should come in the following flavors: dog crap, dog’s own crotch, dead animals, insects, and old moldy garbage. Somehow, I don’t think Alpo would approve…

    Rasied? Oh raisins! :P

I buy local cat food, label is in the squiggly Thai handwriting but the flavour is in English:
    “Cat Flavoured Food”

    O.o

I have never seen mouse flavored anything. Though the idea of a cat taking down a cow is pretty priceless…

The cat in Breakfast at Tiffany’s probably mostly ate leftovers. :P

I’ve always wondered the exact same thing! But I found some logic to it: cat food companies need to subliminally cater to the people and not to the pets. Think of a commercial advertising “scrumptious rat flavor” — not very appealing, is it? Sure, you shouldn’t be the one eating it, but… well, the mind doesn’t make much sense :P

Aye, that thread on the .Net Mag forum was quite good. Whoever started it should get a pat on the back…

By the way, I love this quote from the witty blog:

“Are you suspicious of people who keep photos of their loved ones on their work desk? I’m somewhat uneasy that certain individuals feel the need to have a photo of their husband/wife/child at work, as if they can’t remember what they look like and need constant reassurance. Given they spend more time away from the office than at work, do you think they have photos of work colleagues decorating their homes?”

    Some definite food for thought.
