Feedburner ‘sploded?

What the bloody hell has gone wrong with Feedburner? I logged in yesterday to try and figure out why my feed subscriber count had dropped from 561 (highest it’s ever been) to two hundred and something, to see a notice from Google about the whole shebang moving over to feedburner.google.com.

“Click here to move your account” etc… so I did. Only today, I’m down to 175 subscribers. Either Google have right royally screwed something up, or Feedburner have been staggeringly over-reporting subscribers for months. One things for sure, there’s several sets of users missing from my subscriber info (e.g. there’s zero Firefox Live Bookmarks readers, which I know is total tosh), and so something is definitely not right.

Have any of you guys had any problems getting to my feed? Any feedburner users experiencing similar problems?

I hope the same thing has happened to me, because that’d mean that I’ve got WAY MORE subscribers than the paltry number being reported.

I’m having problems too, and before I’ve moved to Google. There’s something wrong with the subscribers amount, cause every time I log in, I get a different amount, and the different is over 10 each time. Weird, cause I don’t think 10 random people would subscribe to my blog, and suddenly, other 10 people would unsubscribe? Hmmm…

Actually, my feedburner stats are looking pretty much as they ever did – I’ve not had a problem moving over to Google. There doesn’t seem to be a problem with accessing your feed either – although I’m a FF Live Bookmarker so I don’t know how yours have managed to screw up. Maybe they just lost all of your ones associated with FF? I’ve still got mine…

I think I have the same problem but I am not sure as I don’t exactly have that many subscribers.. But my google reader have however been acting really strange these past few days so there’s probably something about it..

Yeah, my subscribers were slashed in half. Kinda wtf-ish.

No, I get your feed right on schedule. It doesn’t show the content, just the address. Hmm…maybe I need to check mine out, just to make sure nothing happened to it.

I’m still subscribed! *waves* I haven’t had any problems with Feedburner, although I did start using it AFTER the switch.

Oh… there were no problems with subscribing. *scribbles out first part of comment* You should allow people to edit their comment, Jem :P.

And here I was thinking people just unsubscribed to me because I don’t have my blog up at the moment.

I’m still getting your posts through Google Reader.

Yeah, I lost 5 (omg! big number!) subscribers since my move. Stupid google. :|

@Peter: People might "delete" their comments. :P

Livejournal syndicated account jemology is still up and running, in any case! (That’s how I get your posts.)

My feed number dropped a bit too. I’d like to blame it on Feedburner as that would make me feel a bit better :P

Nope, haven’t had any problems here.

(Then again, I almost never check my feed subscribers. ._.)

My subscriber count was pretty much slashed in half as well; however, I read the little info document Feedburner provided about its move to Google, and it looks like it’s to be expected that your subscriber count is all wonky for a bit… So I wouldn’t worry about it.

Well I’m on a diet… and making most people diet around me… so I can’t help you. But I can imagine how frustrating that can be :\

^ that would be a most unfortunate pun, regarding the feeding. I’ve not suddenly turned spammy XP

I do not really check my subscriber count all that much. I ought to, really.

Thanks for this post, I’ll log into feedburner and check today. My subscribers went from +60 to 20. So… -40 for two days or so. That happened a few weeks ago too, but the next day the feed went up again, so this time I didn’t bother to check yet.

I am using Google reader and I have no problem getting your posts. Well, I kind of have a small thing, but it’s not really a problem. It takes like a day or two for them to show up sometimes but by that time I have usually just wandered over here and found the post on my own anyway. I just now got this one on my reader. :(

    That’s odd…
Well, I use FeedDemon and I receive your posts. Not sure if it will be counted as being a subscriber of your blog though.

It seems that my subscribers are back where they were before the switch. :)

I made my own feed and added it to Feedburner today because of your post. I subscribed myself but it says 0 subscribers. Hmm.

No problems here with getting your feed, always up to date. Now that it’s changed to google, do we have to update our feeds or wouldn’t that matter?

I’m still getting your feed through Google Reader just fine. And when I switched my Feedburner account over to Google I actually gained 2 subscribers! Strange.

It does say somewhere to expect things to sort themselves out with a week once you’ve switched over.

"It may take up to a week for a feed’s full dose of stats to appear in your Google Account."
