Resorting to Child Labour

I’m so freakin’ knackered from all the moving malarkey that I’m resorting to child labour:

But hey, at least she’s earning her keep ;D

Move is progressing well, touch wood. We exchange contracts on Tuesday, and assuming the mortgage company get their arses in to gear and release the funds straight away we complete on Friday. Woop woop! It’s not allowed to go wrong at this point; we’ve already booked and paid for a moving van for 2 hours on Saturday.

In other news, I’ve had a date for my organ harvesting gallbladder surgery… they want me in for a pre-op assessment on the 31st October and then the op is on the 21st November. I guess the pre-op is just a general take the blood pressure, make sure you’re not 40 stone and going to need 3 beds type thing. Sigh. I don’t know if I’m even doing the right thing you know. I’m not scared of the surgery, but I am petrified of having some of the side effects like NEVER BEING ABLE TO EAT BACON AGAIN. Apparently some people find that post-removal fat just goes through them undigested. I.e. to consume anything remotely tasty, I’d need to do it on the toilet.

I’m sooo not going to miss the pattern on this carpet when we’re gone.

…Izz does know you can’t mop the carpet, doesn’t she? ;)

I am in love with her boots through (minus the colour, heh)! Those, in black, for me please. :D

Oh dear, I fail at spelling… That’s meant to say though and not through!

They’re not boots, they’re my fluffy socks XD She put them on all by herself!

They look like boots from here! Someone should make boots like that… Well, they probably do, I’m very much out of touch with the fashion world and stuff :P

Oooh, Izz is quite girly isn’t she? Does she specifically choose her own clothing in pink, or is it just whatever she’s given?

Her clothing is a variety of colours, including blues and greens, yellows etc. The socks, however, are mine ;)

Izz and I pretty much dress the same. But I hate chores.

I had my gallbladder out, and the pro’s totally outweigh cons!

That picture is amazing, I must say. :D

On the topic of the gallbladder surgery, yes, most people do have to change their diets a fair deal after the surgery. My sister had hers out in 2010 and chose not to heed any words in regards to her [lousy] diet the doctors gave her. Needless to say, she’s pretty darn sick all the time even a year later. She simply thought she could stop eating meat – which she doesn’t eat much of anyway – and everything would be just dandy. Not quite true, sadly. Some of the diets people recommend post-gallbladder removal are extreme in that they say you should only eat vegetables, greens, etc for the rest of your life, but that’s outrageous for anyone to follow for various reasons.

So…really, yeah, high fat foods are off limits (unless you wanna be on the toilet, of course) but you can still have a pretty well rounded diet with plenty o’ tasty things if you’re diligent about what it is and what is in it. :)

Best of luck to you with the move!

The house move will go ahead as planned, I’ve sent in the order ;) as for the pre op, you are correct – they will check your blood pressure, measure your height, ask about any allergies or what pills you take on a regular basis. They will swab your nose for MRSI bugs and and answer any questions you might have about the operation, what it consists of and how long you will be in hospital etc. Gall bladder removal is a very straightforward procedure and if your Granddad can survive having his removed with all his health problems then I’m certain you will also be fine.
Love your new house slave, does she do hoovering for others too? I could do with a helper around here too – I’ll borrow her one of these days to test her skills out ;)

I know this is entirely the wrong thing to say but…
    Life without BACON? ><

I really hope everything goes well with the move. We did an extremely fast rent-mortgage switch-a-roo 2 and a half years back, went without a hitch. Just keep the pressure on them & don't take no for an answer :)

Good luck on your move! It looks like Isabel is enjoying helping her awesome parents out.

I hope that your surgery goes well, too. But if tons of other people have done it before, it couldn’t be that bad, right? (Bacon is wonderful, though!)

We’re enjoying this phase of child development right now as, all too soon, it will be gone and we’ll be unable to locate said-child to clean up their things ;)
