Jem, this is probably the 7th time I’m going to send the same message and you might have read the other comment replies that I have sent, but since you are the owner & creator of that review community website, I think it’s good to send one again with the clear information.
First off, if I didn’t think your review site was “outrageously amazing”, why do I have your website advertising on the right side on my page not to mention at the very top of the list. Also, why would have I joined it? Sure, you may argue that I didn’t know what to expect before joining, however, I proceeded to do reviews and read reviews as well, I decided to -stay- because I thought it was a really good reviewing community. However, as you should’ve read in my blog, I was only concerned about couple comments that were mentioned in few reviews and that definitely doesn’t stereotype the rest of the community reviewers.
When you say the following quote:
“I had hoped that those people unhappy with their reviews would be mature enough to separate the advice they were given from any rudeness they perceived”, it makes it sound like you approve of their insulting comments and as owner and creator of the review community, I personally believe that is not the just way to look at this situation. I know it’s your site and it’s your decision, but hear me out. You may know some of the people who made some negative remarks about other people’s website, graphic, resource, etc., and wish to defend them, however, don’t you think They are the ones who should be mature and not include their dirty little opinions that does no help at all in their review? It just makes sense and even though my site isn’t added on the review community, I can still feel the pain from reading other people’s review for their website especially when it has comments such as “Your graphics are drop dead ugly.” I have received comments from sites that were reviewed like that and they told me honestly that they felt really offended and depressed and was on the line of closing their website.
My point is, your review community website isn’t something to be avoided, infact, after posting my blog from yesterday, I received comments saying that they will reconsider joining and that they think they took my blog too seriously because they too thought that your review site was extraordinary and brilliant, which I STILL think so as well. I just don’t like how unnecessary comments are added in reviews that are not even up-building, I hope you understand and I believe that is all I have to say this time. I wish you the best for your review site as well as your personal site and no it’s not slow, on my computer, it loads quickly and everything looks great~
I was just visiting to ask you for the Site5 uptime link again. Sorry to be an annoying arse!
But yes, your site took a very long time to load, as did rev.iew.me. My sites were down all morning. Site5 are pissing me off. :( They won’t improve the uptime or move my sites to another server. This sucks. :(
