After taking 2 years out because of my health/family situation I’ve finally re-enrolled in my course, with the next module starting October 1st. I’m also returning to work on November 15th (ish). So, what with juggling my websites, Isabel, driving lessons and now this… think my brain is going to explode.
Last week I decided that I would finally learn to drive. It’s something I’ve avoided for years because I haven’t been desperately in need of a car of my own. I catch buses, walk places, and if desperate my mum gives me lifts. Still, with Isabel now getting older and starting nursery in January (which… read full entry »
Yes indeedy, I need guest posters. I have a multitude of projects which I’m desperately trying to get off the ground but don’t want to launch as empty websites; I also have a couple I want to boost with traffic before I go back to work (as I’m expecting Nov-Dec to be bloody busy). As… read full entry »
I know, you may find the title of this entry a tad obvious given that Isabel is 8 months old now (holy shit…) but I am just sat here evaluating my day and it occurred to me that I am a mum. I do mummy things. Today I went shopping for ‘responsible’ things and didn’t… read full entry »
Anyone who knows me, or has been reading my blog a while, will know why the very act of buying a skirt has need of an entry of its own. To put it into perspective: the last time I wore a skirt for any significant period of time was the early 90s. So anyway, this… read full entry »
I’m taking part in the Transworld Dan Brown Summer Reading Challenge! Between the Lines (Transworld Publishers) are having a summer reading challenge which should give me the opportunity to read and review some books for free! (My favourite price.) I’ve picked the following four (the first I’ve wanted to read for a while, the others… read full entry »
I recently bought some boots from Barratts to give myself more ankle support when I’m carrying Isabel (I walk for miles, and my trainers/sneakers weren’t doing the job). When checking out, I was asked to register, and the title field had a list a mile long with every possible title you can think of (pro-tip:… read full entry »
David Cameron is now prime minister. I’m annoyed, confused, bemused and anxious all in one go. I made it no secret that I voted for my local Liberal Democrat candidate. Not only did I feel she had the most to offer my constituency but I also support the Lib Dem party on the whole. I… read full entry »
Why is it that it’s only when I have no money that I can think of things to buy? Still got my eye on Windows 7, there’s a bunch of stuff I want for Izz (red and white spotty leg-warmers, doidy cup etc) and several books (including Affluenza; how apt!) Still, it’ll all have to… read full entry »
As I’m not chucking my ring up every hour or so this year, I started off sowing seeds a few weeks ago. I’ve got tomatoes, courgette (zucchini) and peppers planted, although made the mistake of putting the pepper seeds direct into a trough outside, and now we’ve had some cold nights so might have to… read full entry »
