Today I bribed Isabel with a Dorrito to stop her eating cat food off the kitchen floor.

What!!??!! You used bribery to get your child to do what you wanted? Shock horror! Welcome to the world of easier parenting Jem, how do you think us oldies coped? I’m sure she will survive. There’s nowt quite like bribery to get things done XD

That’s not bad parenting, that’s teaching her about compromise and negotiating, as well as showing her that cat food is icky compared to delicious cheesy chips. :D

LOL, it isn’t bad parenting, Jem. It is just getting her to leaving something alone that you don’t want her to eat. Though I doubt if the cat food would have hurt her. But I would agree with not letting her eat it.

Title of entry somewhat tongue in cheek ;)

This is exactly why I have to block off the kitchen from the rest of the apartment. My little man would be eating cat food all day!

Does cat food actually taste good? Just out of curiosity…cause I’ve heard horror stories about pensioners not having enough money to buy food and having to eat cans of cat food instead. Maybe Iz is just getting a head start on the inevitable…

Apparently I used to eat dog food all the time. Gravy Train was my favorite, according to my parents, and any time they’d put it out for the dog they’d have to pry my hands off the bowl and move me to another room. Yay for mobile babehs!
