Baby Isabel is Home

 |  Parenting

Isabel was born at 10:32 on November 14th weighing 7lbs 11oz. We came home last night, and she’s settling in nicely.

Anyway, I just wanted to write a quick post to say thank you for the massive response to her arrival. The cards, e-mails, facebook messages, tweets… it’s overwhelming! I’m still going through things in between feeds, cuddles and snoozing so please don’t think I’m ignoring you if I don’t get back to you all straight away. Love to you all, you guys rock :)

WE WANT PICS!!!!!!!!! Hee hee, I am glad that you got home ok. Congrats again Jem. I am so happy for you. Sorry I didn’t have your present finished, but I was waiting to see what you had first.

Oh, congratulations!! =D Lovely name, too.

Have been reading your blog for years but seldom commented, but have checked in often recently to see the development (slightly stalkerish, I admit. But with the best of intentions!)

Here’s one more, because I’ve only been stalking and not commenting anywhere: CONGRATULATIONS! I love the name, and I’m glad everything has gone well for all of you. :)

Congratulations! =) I’ve been following your tweets, but don’t think I ever got round to actually congratulating you. I’m a bit slow sometimes. XD
Isabel is a gorgeous name, great choice. :)

Congratulations on getting her home, and take all the time you need to get settled/nested/whatever. All your loyal fans will still be here, waiting patiently. :)

    She’ll be a supercute kid, I can tell. ;)

    Congratulations.
I don’t think you’re the type of parent to freak out about raising kids the right way, obsessively play Mozart near her crib, and waste money on alarmist parenting books. But just so you know: if you want to do the right thing for yuor your kid, everything works out just fine in the end.

Aww, Isabel is a BEAUTIFUL name, congratulations! I ‘discovered’ your site just a few days ago through Review.me and ever since have been waiting with baited breath for the news. I love your blog, can’t wait to read more :) Congratulations again,

Congratulations to you both on the safe arrival of your beautiful baby daughter. Having seen her, I predict that she will be musical in her abilities. She’s just perfect :)

I’m so happy for all of you. Take all the time you need to make sure she’s taken care of before jumping back onto the internet bandwagon. :D

Oh, and did anyone guess the date or weight correctly? :)

I’m so happy for you! :D I checked Twitter multiple times that night even though I should have been asleep, because I was so excited. When you first tweeted that you were on your way to the hospital, I was thisclose to actually squealing out loud.

Congratulations to you and Karl! And, really, Isabel is lucky to have such awesome parents.

Congratulations again! Enjoy those tiny baby cuddles. =D Newborns are so terribly charming. I swear, I’ve seen more teeny tiny babies in the last two weeks than I have in my life and it makes me crazy with anticipation.

I’m so very glad that everything went smoothly for you both. xoxo

Your daughter has a lovely name. Glad you’re both OK and settling in.
I was almost tempted to join Twitter because of you, but luckily you and your mom don’t protect your tweets so I’m still safe :P

So happy for you Jem! Congrats again on becoming a mother (and Karl on becoming a father)! I can’t imagine what you must be feeling right now. Glad to hear that you’re back home with baby Isabel (which, btw, is an absolutely gorgeous name!). =)

I’m struggling to work out how I completely missed this news despite following both you and Aisling (who apparently tweeted more about Isabel’s birth than anyone else!) on Twitter and having your blog on my feed reader for THIS LONG! I need to pay more attention.

Anywho, congratulations! I adore the name Isabel as it’s also the name of my paternal grandmother, who was an amazing lady! Excellent choice.

Congratulations, yet again! I have been neglecting my feeds of late, and stupid me just found out about this today while accidentally coming to your front page (the bane of RSS?)

I’m sure your kid will be very cool.

Ah, I haven’t been visiting you in a long while. Now a new mommy? Congrats to the little angel and I also think Isabel is a beautiful name. My late aunt who passed away last year was also named Isabel, so in some ways, it’s a true blessing. :)

Congratulations Jem. Yes, I’m actually commenting. This is the first time I’ve visited your site in a while. I want to apologize. Even though it’s been only a few months, I’ve had time to think about how immature I was being. I don’t expect you to reply, or even think twice about this message, I just want to let you know I’ve put on my big girl panties, and I want to put the past behind us, even if you already have. :)

I guess I kinda want to make it official.

It’s scary to ask you to believe me when I say I -have- done a lot of maturing since the last time we talked. Only because it’s scary for myself to think that I’ve matured as much as I have in such a short time. But I want to let you know that I admire you for putting up with my crap and not even blowing up the slightest bit.

But like I mentioned above, I don’t ask for a response or anything. Just your forgiveness would be enough for me.

Good luck with Isabel, and I’m very happy for you. (:
    G’day,
    Jessi.
