What a Wonderful Day
I’m having a great day so far. I opened my inbox to a very pretty “Happy Valentines” photograph from Han (who I’m yet to thank, oops) and an e-mail from my mummy telling me that her flowers are beautiful. I had actually forgotten that I’d ordered them, so it was like a big double surprise for both of us! :) Renay also created a graphic in which she suggested I have ‘cutting wit’ — all lies, of course.
I went home at lunch time to see Karl (and eat, obviously) and was delighted to discover a ‘bunch’ of roses on the table. Six very gorgeous deep-red coloured long-stem roses arranged with some tiny white-bud foliage stuff, tied in a huge red bow. Alongside, a delicate hand-crafted card made by a local “artist”. I knew the romantic git was planning something. ;) What’s more, he has cleaned and scrubbed the flat so it’s all shiny and smelling fresh.
Plus, if all that wasn’t good enough, my ‘new’ keyboard arrived this morning and not only does it fit a treat but all the keys work too! I’m back to normal typing, woohoo. Last but not least (for now): the present I’d ordered for my sister’s birthday has arrived with plenty of time to spare before the actual day (18th). I can’t tell you what it is because she might see this, but I think she’s going to love it!
I’ll end with a funny (but not really true) snippet from the innocent drinks newsletter:
Women purchase approximately 85 percent of all Valentine’s cards. Then it’s cats with 7%, dogs with 5% and men with 3%.
Right, my lunch break is nearly up, so back to work! Happy Valentine’s Day everyone. May yours be filled with little fluffy pink hearts and other such romantic/loving goo.
Unrelated Updates (10:50pm)
I made a few minor changes to the sidebars today, just to add a bit more colour. I’ve also tweaked the font because Arial really bores me (in fact, I’m sure I said that the last time I used it). I’ve made some changes to BellaBook (new version: 3.4) which will be available in the mornin’ when I’ve had time to test it properly.
PS. Please don’t waste your time ‘tagging’ me for that stupid ‘game’ meme going ’round: I’m not interested in the slightest. Find some other sucker to fill it in.

Awwwwwwww sounds like you’re having a wonderful Valentine’s day. Those white buds are called Baby’s Breath. They look wonderful in a HUGE bouquet of nothing but Baby’s Breath.

My boyfriend and I didn’t “celebrate” Valentines Day. We buy each other gifts, and tell each other of our love throughout the year. So Valentine’s Day doesn’t mean anything special or different for us. It doesn’t need to be. :) Plus I don’t like the whole flower bouquet thing. Flowers belong in pots/gardens – They look so much better that way, and they can last longer too!
