Rayman: Raving Rabbids 2

After the hours Karl and I spent cracking our ribs laughing at the various hilarious scenes in Raving Rabbids for the Wii — the game that got Karl playing with a console for the first time in years — I decided to invest in Raving Rabbids 2. I have to say that it was a good decision.

Although I’ve not played the game enough to write a proper review, it has been entertaining so far. It has taken the best bits from the first game (the rabbids, the silly humour and the auto-play scenes), extended them and created what can only be described as half cartoon and half game. Probably not one for the serious gamers but good for casual all-round fun.

  1. Your lucky you have got a wii if you where getting one for this Christmas then you would struggle, up here they are very rare i was amazed considering they had been out a year!

  2. I’m still incredibly jealous you even have a Wii. If I ever get one, I will probably pick up Raving Rabbids 1 & 1. Until then, I still have my amazing 17-year-old SNES!

  3. Woo, I might have to buy the game after hearing postive about it. I loved the first one, especially the disco game :B

  4. Yeah that was one of the first games I brought with the Wii and it’s worth it. Out of all the games on there I’d have to say that the flying ones are the hardest.

  5. My boyfriend and I finally got our hands on one about a month ago. It took us forever to find one. I love it. I’ve never heard of that game though. I guess I will have to check it out.

  6. Years? Wow. :D

  7. How much longer do you think it will take to see how secure my script is? http://another-perfect-world.aristocated.org/PHPGraphics/

  8. I’m getting a Wii for my birthday, I guess. The game does sound intresting. I like humor. Humor is the best medicine.

  9. you see I just got that game and I think its terrible! I dont like mini game games and thats all it is – plus the UI is impossible cos you dont know what does what!! The simpsons dissappointed me too! I hate platformers!

  10. Glad to hear it’s good! I’ve been thinking about getting it for my fiance for Christmas. The first one has to be the most hilarious game I’ve ever tried. It even made my MOM feel the love for console gaming, and she hasn’t enjoyed a video game since Alex Kidd on the Sega Mega Drive.

@Han: don’t you think you should look up the structure/features of a game before you buy it then? o.O That’s not a fault of the games, but a fault of your bad buying :P

  12. RRR is probably my *favorite* game on the Wii console. I just loved the mini-games, how outrageous some of them were, and just that I couldn’t stop playing. Mark would come over to my house after work so we could play through RRR together, taking turns. We’d fight over the “drum hero” minigame, and as usual I always ended up getting it, namely because I are teh smrt. You should check out IGN–they’ve got the trailer for the next Rayman. It’s pretty cute and hilarious.

  13. And on that note I’m a huge terd for not seeing “2” in the title. Go me for being oblivious. I didn’t even realize it came out not even 5 days ago. Then again I don’t think I’ve played on the Wii in a *long* time. Thanks for the unintentional reminder. Now only if I can pull myself away from Halo…

  14. I played that on the Wii, too :3 It was quite fun! Matt and I are playing Super Mario Galaxy right now, it’s great, you should check it out!

  15. I absolutely LOVE the game. We have the first one, and when we found out the second one came out, we were queuing at the game shop the very first day of it’s release :D
