Gordon Brown Says Nah
I am sure the majority of you are absolutely oblivious to the fact that there’s been a bit of excitement (hah) in British politics this past week or so. Rumours were flying about whether or not our PM — Gordon Brown — would call a general election or not. Brown (rightfully so, in my opinion) decided not to call an election and now his main rival David Cameron (that chap with the huge white undies who said that divorcing parents created an underclass) has decided that in doing so, Brown is “treating the British people as fools”.
Actually — and I don’t even like Gordon Brown — I think it’s Cameron treating the nation as fools. By making derogatory remarks about our PM he’s trying to undermine the confidence in those who believe in Brown’s abilities. A low tactic to make himself seem like some sort of superior choice and therefore worth voting for, that will only work on those with less than 2 brain cells to rub together. It almost reminds me of the school yard from my early years.
It’s all a load of bollocks of course, and I think I should become the next Prime Minister. I wouldn’t have to vote for either of them then. My policies would include free pants awards for all where necessary, and compulsory subscription to the jemjabella feed. Sounds like a good plan to me.

All politics are rubbish, whether it’s Brown v. Cameron, or Bush v. Gore, or the local mayors of a village – it’s all self-fulfilling rubbish. So frustrating, really, and really puts a damper on the whole representative-government concept that everyone raves is a fantastic development in modern times. Sure, it’s better than monarchy, but it is hardly near perfect. Sigh!

I can’t comment too freely because I don’t want to be dooced, but I can say that Gordon has royally pissed off most of the party. Along with many others, I was forced to cancel a holiday at the eleventh hour and pull thirteen hour days every day last week because we were told there was going to be an election on November 1. And yeah I have to agree, the House of Commons reminds me of a giant schoolyard most days. Will we see Cameron’s undies featured in a future pants award?

See I think he should have called an election. I still think Cameron’s a twat and I don’t expecially like Brown but the Prime Minister should be the choice of the country (idiots that most of them are) and not a bunch of dodgy politicians who vote against anything that reveals their earnings and/or cuts their wages. Brown saying he wants a chance to prove himself is ridiculous, you don’t get to try-out for PM.

Depends. I threw a paddy over the tax-breaks for married couples and all the crap over children needing two parents but when the Conservatives said they’d scrap ID cards, they pretty much got my instant backing. I wouldn’t say Brown is the lesser of two evils though they do say better the devil you know.
