Going Through the Menopause

Yes, that’s right, I’m going through the menopause. Sure, I might be about 25 years too young, what why should that stop someone like myself? How else can you explain the dramatic mood swings I’ve been experiencing today? I woke up fine, felt like bursting into tears every five minutes between 9-11am, felt fine again until about 4pm when all of a sudden I felt incredibly hot and irritable (not helped by my BLOODY chair at work, which seems to have developed a wanky falling-down back.)

Of course, I am exaggerating. I am sure it is nothing to do with the menopause and much more likely to do with the fact that my Granddad is in hospital, it’s the anniversary of my brother’s death on Saturday, my remaining elder brother’s psychotic tendencies completely ruining plans I wanted to make for Easter and various other shit going on that I am not even going to start getting in to because I don’t want to have to deal with the sympathy.

That said, I have a lot to be grateful for so I don’t know why I’m complaining. I have a great job where I feel appreciated and enjoy my work, a loving partner that makes me feel good about myself and a nice, cosy flat that keeps a roof over my head. Oh, and what could be better than a new friend who obviously knows me so much better than I know myself?

Update: my Granddad is out of hospital, hoorah. :)

We all get that kind of feelings sometimes. Stick with people who love you. ^^ (I agree with Grant Mc, some men are surpringly good in this.) (I have to say I was bit surprised that they’re still commenting Swimchick pants.)

Ah Jem, just take care of yourself. Feeling happy in your home and work environments is all you need. :) It’s good to see people being strong in these times. Are those nuts not going to be happy until you close your site down or produce a huge “sorry” song and dance on Youtube about Swimchick? o_O If these people think they’re so good and “right”, then why can’t they read properly?

I agree with the others. You seem to have a wonderful enviorment around you, so I would just try to stay happy with that. Although, I know from experiance, trying to do that can annoy the elephants pants out of you! Good luck Jem!! :p

I was startled by the subject because it got me thinking I had seriously guessed your age wrong, haha. Man, I want me some friends like that! I’m visiting her awesomely named web site right now.

Oh oh oh, I just saw your reply up there: “‘produce a huge ‘sorry’ song and dance on Youtube about Swimchick?’ ..hahaha. There’s more chance of me becoming a pr0n star than that happening”. Why not combine the two? You could totally do a porn version of “I’m sorry Swimchick fans.” You’d probably get great traffic from YouTube, too, if you wrote “More nude Swimchick apology videos on jemjabella.co.uk” at the end of the video.

You have a lot to complain and be sorry about. True, it could be worse, but it’s bad already. I’m sure that it’ll pass. Other possibility is that you’re pregnant. I doubt that as much as I doubt the menopause.

I’ve been moody lately, but I know it’s because I detest going to the school I UNFORTUNATELY attend. Sorry you haven’t been feeling the greatest.

If you ever review my site, I would like to win the award of “most flame-y replies ever” I’ll do double the videos swimchick did, write a blog entry, and leave at least 3 nasty comments. AND YOU’LL GET HITS! I SWEAR! If you make me an animated GIF award for my efforts, I’ll even throw in a free icecream. If we ever meet in person, that is.

Damn I missed the YouTube video! Oh well, no doubt there will be more from more petulant children that cannot take constructive critisism. FACT: If you post subject matter freely available on the Internet there will always be someone that has a differing opinion to your own. My advice to Jessica would be “If you can’t stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen” That is of course, MY ten pence worth of opinion. (I am biased however, I’m up for sale LOL)

Hmmm, I was about to suggest that maybe your biological clock is running out ;) But I guess your supposed reasons sound very likely.

Do I see a Buffy reference in the title? If you do decide to dance on Youtube about Swimchick you’ll let me write the script, right? It’ll be like… the best like script ever like made! Actually I’ll just lift bits from Jessica’s rant and switch the names around, but it’s all good, it’s all good.

Don’t feel bad Jem. I get that way too. My girlfriend (well ex-girlfriend now) use to always says that I had MPD… You know, a multiple personality disorder. With that being said, my be you misdiagnosed yourself, LOL.

First off, I’m very glad to hear that grandpa is doing better. Now you know from whom you get your ninja skills. Ninjas are very good at healing themselves. They’re very strong and purposeful, so don’t you worry – both yourself and grandpa will be back kicking arse and taking names *cough*swimchick*cough* soon enough. Even elite PHP ninjas are allowed to have bad days every once in a while. Second, you totally, like, rawk, and you know this. ;)
