So, I’m out in the garden testing the groovy and very expensive looking camera tripod that my Grandad gave to me when Karl and I went down there to fix his computer. Pretending to be an expert at these things, I got it all lined up, adjusted it the way I want, camera pointing in the right direction etc. I crouch down to make sure the shot is going to be semi-decent.. and sting my butt on a nettle. <- OUCH. Anyway, this is all of course relevant and I'm putting myself through this ghastly pain because I've finally decided to get off my lazy arse and fix up my stock photo site. I noticed the hits were up at the beginning of the month way higher than usual, and as such I'm implementing a new layout featuring lots more whitespace, and hopefully (if I can figure it out) the ability to download photos on the fly all zipped up using some PHP magic. Awesome, baby! You can see it, 80% 90% done, here: stock.jemjabella.co.uk.

I like your current stock photo layout… As for the nettles, but insect sting stuff on there, that will stop the itching and general ouchness of it.

Whatever you do don’t scratch where the nettles have been, it will only make it worse. I love photography, your photographs are really pretty, and I like the new layout (although I prefer the old one)

Wow, I like your stock photo site..I spent a while looking around. ;) That sucks about those nettles. Watch your back..side! Ooh, lame joke. Ouch. :P

Hey Jem, wouldn’t you have to get on the computer to fix up your stock photo site, meaning you’d get ON your lazy arse, not off it?

Whoa, talk about getting yourself completely immersed into your stock photo site, physical pain and all. And be careful the next time round! :P I can’t imagine you getting more nettle puncture marks on your bottom during the subsequent updates!

I liked how one of the very first pictures I saw was of a goat with his head suspiciously close to another goat’s butt, haha. As for the nettles… what is a nettle, exactly? I’ve never experienced being nettled, not saying that I want to experience it. Is it like poison ivy? I know someone who had been afflicted by poison ivy and had to take medicines to help it. :-x

I think nettles are fairly comparable to the pain of poison ivy… We used to have nettles around our barn. My mom torched them. Yay! I’m liking the background on the stock site. *hugs squidfingers patterns*

(Gosh, I signed as ‘Mandoline’ and I meant to sign as ‘Mandolin’, as I am named… those extra letters are killer.) @ Julie: Oooh, thank you very much. So, not poisoned, but according to Mariah… equal in pain? Oh, Mother Nature and her confusing ways… ;-)

The stock photo site looks nice :) After taking over 400 photos on my trip to Washington DC I’ve been toying with the idea of starting my own stock photo site, or at least putting them online at sxc.hu. But I wasn’t sure about how much bandwidth it would take if I hosted it. You continually amaze me with your “PHP magic” lol

Ah, the things we do in the name of photography. ;) The stock photography site looks good though. If you ever decide to make and release a PHP photo gallery script, that’d be incredibly useful… *hint hint*
