Love Me, For I Am Great
This post is purely for indulging in a whole lot of narcissism. Oh yeah! If you’re not interested in reading about my latest achievements… well, tough! >:D
Last week I was asked if I was interested in contributing to a piece on my ex-boyfriends for a feature called “The ex-files” in the Observer (national weekly newspaper). Unfortunately I don’t have any notable ex-stories to share but appreciated being asked all the same (because who wouldn’t want their website potentially plugged in a national paper?!)
On Friday I also received an e-mail from phpBBHacks.com telling me that the Q*Bee Bee*Bee*S had won the ‘featured forum’ award for November 2006. After the amount of hacking, bashing and poking I did to that forum, I was dead impressed to get this.
This morning I find I’ve been picked up and featured in the following CSS/design showcase gallery site thingies: CSS Mania, CSSBloom, Screenalicio.us, light on dark and The Daily Slurp. Can we say “Oh My God!”?

I noticed your comment about your screenshot on light on dark and it looks to me as if the screenshot is actually two screenshots merged together to show an entire elongated page. It’s not a glitch in your coding. :) Congratulations on all the awesomeness!

Ohh-er! Well done you! I’m a Guardian reader myself, and so read the Observer on Sundays. Is there something to be said for making up an ex-story, just to get a ‘jemjabella.co.uk’ in a national newspaper!

I have to agree with Grant, I don’t like the new comment style much either. It’s just too… big, and takes up too much room in my humble opinion. I’m a fan of concise-ness. :)
