Sort of Fishy

Sometimes I feel like a fish. I see the fresh, juicy maggot wriggling at the end of the line and I bite — not thinking about the reasons why that fishing line is there or why that person is dangling it. I need to think before I take the bait in future, me thinks.

Just wanted to apologise publically to Lynne for sounding like I was attacking her perfectly valid opinion yesterday. I’ll blame my not-feeling-so-good cold plus my complete inability to see when someone is winding me up to the point of frustration.

Heyho. I’ve seen it now and for once in my life will simply ignore it. I’ve got bigger fish to fry, as it were.. ;)

Dito. I shouldn’t be so quick putting you in the wrong without knowing the history. Thanks for letting me know about the mail form, I’ve been messing with stuff for a week or so and wasn’t aware I’d screwed that up.

If you’re a fish and you want to fry other fish, doesn’t that make you some kind of cannibal? =P

“Sometimes I feel like a fish. I see the fresh, juicy maggot wriggling at the end of the line and I bite ” I have done that on more than one occasion. Fish…. :(

I would’ve never thought of a fish metaphor on my own, but upon reading this entry, I can definitely see that I myself have been a fish on more than one occasion. And hey, at least you can swallow your pride and admit when you’re wrong. Some people never do even that.

Frankly, I don’t apologise for being a fish. I grab whatever drama I see and I don’t let go until I’m satisfied that my arguments are sound (which isn’t often, you see). I only feel an apology is needed when someone is offended or hurt in some way, as in this case. I admire you for being able to admit your mistake.

I’m not suggesting I was being a fish because I offended Lynne… I’m talking about two different situations; related, but not the same thing.
