Randomness

All he wanted was a best friend…

I forgot to mention that I made a Katy fanlisting a couple of weeks ago. So, if you thing Katy is great you should check out Geekerific. Don’t you think it’s the most original name ever? And of course, you could always check out my fanlisting while you’re browsing about.

Oh, I have been adding things here and there to the site. I added a new theme a while ago that can be found via the site map / domain page. It’s surprisingly spring-inspired, which is weird given the time of year. There’s free forum/lj avatars from my own photos and other completely random and generally pointless stuff.

I’m off to see Harry Potter this evening. About time too! You know, one day, I might actually read the books…

I’ll probably be quite busy this week. I’ve more presents to buy (what the hell do I get my mum’s partner?), wrapping to do, rice krispie cakes to make, family/friends to visit, etc.. so, if I don’t remember to say it nearer ‘the day’: have a lovely Christmas everyone. If you don’t celebrate it, have a nice winter season or a groovy whatever-you-do-celebrate. Gosh, religion confuses me.

I started making icons a while back, not as successful as I had hoped. I still haven’t finished reading the sixth book of HP yet but I’m sure the heavy wave of spoilers will render that act unnecessary.

OMG you haven’t read the books?! Bad! Go read them before seeing the films – the books are SO much better… :P I was one of these anti-HP people a while back until I actually read the books. Then I fell in love with them and there’s no turning back… *twitches* 7th book! Must… find out… what happens…

Heh, last year in the library we had to stack Kwanza books with all the other holiday books and the woman I was working with commented something about it, I said, ‘You celebrate kwanza, huh?’ (jokingly) she said, ‘No but I’m gonna start. I think it’s wonderful. I think EVERYone should make up their own holiday and celebrate it!’ While I respect that some people probably really -do- celebrate Kwanza, I loved that woman for saying that : ) I get so tired of being told ‘I don’t celebrate Christmas’ when I wish someone a merry one. I don’t care what they celebrate, part of me celebrating is to wish theirs be merry! DUH! They’re trying to infringe!!! I know you love my comments, they rarely make any sense ; ) I have blisters on my foot from the shopping I did today- I came home with all of three things (two, really, because two of them are a set). I still need to buy *thinking* at least five gifts. Next year I’m going to MAKE presents. Everyone’s getting the same thing- slightly to moderately burned chocolate chip cookies! : ) ‘If you don’t want them I’ll keep ’em.’ I dun like Harry Potter : / I gave it a shot, I just can’t dig it. It’s too… silly and fancy to me somehow.

… I have been wondering where the little squares have gone off to. The HP movies are… well alright, but the books are funnier. Plus, many things are better explained. Still, seeing Filch’s antics in movie 4 was worth :-)) Have fun! *goes to check out the stuff*

Wow, another new site by Jem? *Runs off to look* Goodness me, sometimes I wonder how is it every possible to maintain so many sites. :P Hehe. And I love the new String theme. The shade of green used is one of my favourites. :P When it comes to colours, I am a sucker for green and blue (the colour of your default ‘clouds’ theme).

Great site. I personally thing Harry Potter is slightly overrated, but hey a lot of people would stone me for such a comment. I would get your Mother’s partner a shirt and tie for Christmas, can’t go wrong there.

Chris: My mum is a lesbian, my mother’s partner is a woman.. I don’t think she’d appreciate a shirt and tie. Thanks for the thought though! ;)

Ooooh, I love the green theme with the flowers, that’s the new one, right? Love it love it love it! And of course you should read the HP books, the movies are nothing compared to them. Seriously. (But that’s not the reason I haven’t seen Goblet of Fire yet. =/ ) Hmm, I’m not celebrating anything right now… Probably just the end of school, eh?

I was looking through the 50 books page and realised we use very similar star images – I made a rating form for a page I’m making for kachii.com XD; did I subconsciously steal your star-shaped ideas or do great minds think alike? :P
