web2.0-tastic

I have finally got of my butt and updated tutorialtastic. I mean, it’s only taken about 6 months and all.

The new layout is very deliberately web 2.0. Stripes, gradients, little pixel icons.. you name it, it’s in there! I’ve not even finished yet, but if I don’t get it uploaded it’ll be one of those layouts that never is destined to live its life as a PSD (I’m sure you guys have some like that?) At least this way I can tweak as I go and get feedback at the same time.

My main concern at the moment is contrast. While it’s supposed to be ‘soft’ on the eyes, it needs to be viewable so please tell me what its like on your screen. I’m already thinking of creating a slightly darker sidebar because the blue is barely visible. I’ve increased the sidebar contrast. Oh, and I haven’t checked it in anything but Firefox yet(!) Thoughts?
