Overdue Restructuring

As many of you will have noticed (CTRL + F5 if you haven’t) the long-overdue restructuring of the site has finally started. I got off my arse and modified the layout (making it fluid) earlier this week, and with the exception of a header overlap bug in < 1024×768 resolutions (which will be fixed) it works quite well.

I’ve removed the mostly redundant domain section, adding a small piece about the website to the bottom of the new ‘About‘ area and scribblings has been renamed to Articles. Next on the hit list is the Stuff/Hobbies section, which needs to be turned into something actually relating to my hobbies instead of a dumping ground for whatever crap doesn’t fit elsewhere.

Going back to my mention of the Articles section… I made some slight text amends and added some relevant sources to my Copyright Violation article. In doing so, I’ve sparked somewhat of a mini-revolution, with webmasters all over the Internet finally paying a bit of attention! This is brilliant news in my eyes, and I look forward to seeing a whole bucketload of new and original layouts springing up in place of the boring and unoriginal celebrity “blends”. Kudos to those will the balls to stand up and be the first to rid their site of material that doesn’t belong to them.

All in all, progress is slow but at least it’s actually happening …and that goes for both topics covered in this entry.
