Hi :) I'm Jem. I’m a blog post writing, website making, heavy weight lifting, marathon running, taekwon-do doing, feminist mama geek. Or something like that. I work at home and create things online for money: websites, articles, niche OnlyFans content (just kidding). Read more about me »
Also, whilst on the topic of breastfeeding, there is an entire scene in the kid’s film Ponyo which is hugely pro-bf, and completely natural, innocent and sweet :)
lol I was in Primark (hmm yes no comment) and saw a Asian woman openly breast feed her child in there and I sort of looked down and smiled and actually though good for her! I’m not a mother but it does really annoy me when people cover it up in fact i think it make more of a show than actually just doing it which happened when I was in a Debenhams restaurant. I was like can you be more obvious lol It’s a shame that people see breast as something dirty or pornographic when really they are only doing the job they were given!
So it’s ok to flash your pods to the world, wear a skimpy T shirt with half a yard of flab, backboobs and cellulite on show, dropped waisted jeans showing the crack of your pimply ass along with various other ways of generally putting most of us off our tea, yet not to feed your child the way nature intended (and equipped us to do)? I like my muffins from a cake shop thanks.
BULLSHIT!
Sorry world, don’t get me wrong… I’m gay and therefore actually rather like to see boobs, but even so I still prefer to see women cover up in public and leave it all to my imagination rather than have them dropping in my lap or have to contend with them shoved in my face! For God’s sake woman put them away, we don’t all want to see your knockers!
Why should feeding mothers have to hide away as if what they were doing was shameful or bad?
Wow, you would think someone who freely flashers hers all over town that she would understand mothers feeding their child. Maybe it’s different if the ones you have a not ‘real’.
Breast feeding is a completely natural way of life, women have been doing it since they have been having babies. I agree with Mumblies they shouldn’t have to hide at all because they are doing nothing wrong.
I wouldn’t change a baby’s diaper on the table during a meal, which is what I gather the woman did afterwards…not that your point in regards to breastfeeding doesn’t stand because of that.
I wouldn’t either, Julie, but she had the opportunity to correct that first tweet and instead dug herself a bigger hole. I find the hypocrisy most amusing.
Well yeah, if we are expected to be fine with seeing (half)bare breasts all time (and well basically I’m fine with that, breasts after all are not mass destruction guns), we should be also fine with women breastfeeding whatever is the way they have chosen. I don’t really see any difference and it’s little funny to hear opposite opinions from people who show their boobs more.
Kind of OT: it’s shame that only way for woman to success in this world seems to be overly sexualize the female body so that men can have fun and even more oppress women.
I know who she is but I also don’t know who she is. But I’ve never heard anything good about her. So… I agree with you xD Not the best role model in the world…
I actually like Kim Kardashian (I don’t know why), but for her to say that is a bit pathetic.
I’ve seen her topless many times and yet she’s not happy for people to be topless for an important reason?
I’d say the only ew thing is changing a baby on a table where food is served… While I don’t think a mother should have to go into a bathroom to feed her child, I also don’t think a baby should be changed where we eat.
But how ironic that KimKar makes that comment when she’s exposed more of her tits for money. Exposing tits for a baby to eat > Prostitution.
She did horribly at trying to cover that tweet up. First she tried to say that the biggest issue was the dirty diaper changing at the table, which I do find to be an issue. Diapers and poo are for potties and eating is for tables and chairs. But then the, "My sister breast feeds!" shit, well good for your sister. It doesn’t change the fact that she is stating that she believes women should be covered up but flashes her tits everywhere.
I guess boobs are only okay if someone wants to bust their load on them. Otherwise they shouldn’t be seen? What a fucking retard.
@Theresa: "Well, I have an [x] who [y]" is a very popular defense for pretty much EVERYTHING. "I’m not racist, the other day I saw a black guy at the supermarket and I didn’t even insult him!" "I’m not homophobic, I have gay friends!" "I don’t mind breastfeeding, my sister does it. With a blanket on her head. Hidden in the bathroom. With the door triple-locked. And a big sign that says DO NOT ENTER. SIN ONGOING. YOUR CHILDREN WILL BE HARMED."
You picked the perfect picture to illustrate your point. Like you said, I’m not exactly about to take advice on when and where to expose my breasts from this woman.
Then, she tries to "cover up" (haha?) by saying that the BF was not the issue, but the baby on the table. Right after she clarified the issue about the lady not being covered?
OMG, I fucking hate stupid bitches. WHY do they get paid so much? For being pretty? I’ll sure as shit say she ain’t even that…Yeah, that was bitchy. But ARGH! Some people just walk into fame and spew complete BS to their adoring fans. Do these people not realise that their fans will idolise them, and their views? :'(

I’m guessing she doesn’t want the idea of her boobs being sexual objects spoiled by the reality of what boobs REALLY are there for.

IF those boobs are really hers… (yeah right)
