I am 24 weeks tomorrow. That means that sproglet (aka lentil) is now legally and medically “viable”. Although, I do hope s/he hangs on for another few months at the very least. (Are you listening down there?)
Probably should start thinking about buying some baby stuff soon, I guess. Bah, I don’t do this planning lark.

Oh and your clock is wrong – I left that comment at 22:03, not 21:03 ;)

Baby stuff might help :P!
Grats on the milestone, here's to hoping it stays put for a while longer though.

If you have a baby shower, you'll probably get a lot of what you need (and some of what you don't) from that. So instead of buying baby stuff, maybe register for some things? Just a thought. :) Congrats on the milestone!

I'm so excited for you. :D
Buy more bibs and muslin cloths than you think is humanly possible to buy. Then get a dozen more. NOW you're about ready to see your way through the first 48 hours.
Also: electric swings are worth their weight in gold.

Congratulations on the milestone! I think you should definitely start investing in some baby things soon! Have fun! :P

Your baby is going to be sleeping in a cardboard box at this rate.. Poor baby!!!
20 Jul at 11:02 pm
Congratulations on the milestone!
But yes, I'd say it's time to start getting things together for the little one.

Baby Shower. Seems like a fair trade.
A few hours to probe at you, say how plump you are and poke fun at when you were young and did things you rather wouldn't remember or can't in trade with baby stuff.
Saves you the hassle.
Save you the shopping
Save you the money (If ever that was the issue)

I hate to say this Jem, but why are you worrying?
Trust me, you have loads of time. You let everyone else worry about that sort of thing and you just concentrate on being happy and healthy. Leave it to us 'experienced' shoppers/mums to worry about.(That's what Grannies are for)
Just as soon as my foot is ok to drive you will see the inside of many a baby clothes shopping bag ;)
Glad you are feeling a bit better now :)
BTW…the 'experience/organised manager bit' kicks in once you've had baby for a month or two, trust me it will.
21 Jul at 12:46 pm
Remind me to email you about baby stuff you actually need, rather than what other people SAY you need.
21 Jul at 2:40 pm
No really. You NEED that electric swing chair. I'm not even joking.
21 Jul at 5:26 pm
Congratulations on your pregnancy! Good luck and I wish you the best and pray you have a healthy baby girl or boy. :) I think it's time to start buying some stuff, I started buying things when I first found out I was pregnant.
Take care

We bought a bunch of shit before my nephew William was born. We didn't plan on him gaining over ten pounds in a couple months… so now none of the stuff we bought fits.
22 Jul at 6:30 am
Congrats on the milestone Jem! Don't worry about baby stuff you still have plenty of time to get things arranged :)

I'm currently reading "Shopaholic and Baby" (by Sophie Kinsella). If you want I can lend it to you. The protagonist is sooooooooo keen on everything baby related, and it's set in London to boot (as opposed to NY, for example) XP
Yes, I know, you're so floored you can't even thank me enough. *cheeky grin*
22 Jul at 3:40 pm
Whoo! I'm three weeks behind you. Here's to a season of healthy, happy babies. =)
22 Jul at 8:21 pm
Wow, haha, that's pretty cool! You should have an online baby shower. Ha, ha, ha, the big bad bitch's (referring to a past review) online baby shower. Would be cool. :P
23 Jul at 8:00 pm
Yay baby stuff. That shit is mad expensive. Then again, I didn't pay for anything I had. xD
23 Jul at 9:13 pm
Maybe you should, better be safe than sorry! But congratulations! I hope the this whole process thing goes well for you!
26 Jul at 2:51 pm
Congrats on the pregnancy!! And don't worry about the baby stuff now because you'll get most of the stuff on your baby shower, and after that, buy the stuff you dont have. Good luck. :)
28 Jul at 1:47 pm
You should set up a PO Box so as people can send you lovely baby gifts! :p I know that I would. Good luck with everything. :) Perhaps worth discussing on Snark? ;-)

Congrats!! You are over 1/2 way through!
I agree that you need a swing. You will learn how valuable that item is. Also onsies. Those things that snap after going around the babies bum. Also be very prepared for doing laundry daily.
You do not have to buy burp cloths.. anything that will absorb puke will be very important to you until they go to school. Also start carrying extra clothes for you in the car. And when baby is born carry some in the diaper bag too.
The best way to get these however is to register at a baby place & tell people you want a baby shower. I am sure someone has it cookin in their heads right now.

It might get exhausting all that baby shopping. However, it can be fun too.
After Jessica's suggestion about daily laundry, I can say possibly 1 time a week. If you get enough clothes, you should not worry. However, my suggestion is to get a few outfits for the months after as babies grow differently. Some get big quick. I remember Angel was always a size more because he was a 9 pound 6 ounce baby and 22 inches long at birth. He is still slightly tall for his age even as he is 6 now.
I think you can go and try some online registries and share those links with others in case you are uncomfortable leaving an address out there.
Oh and hand-me-downs are sometimes nice, but check those out carefully. Some things should not be handed down…lol

You should stream a live video babyshower from your website! ^_^
Okay… invasion of privacy a bit too much, but… maybe a password protected one? ^_^

You should have done the deed a few months earlier, we took all our baby stuff to the charity shop (and we had a lot, as you can imagine!).
