Some of you might remember that I mentioned Karl and I have some news? Well: I’m pregnant! Oh wait, wrong news.. (ahh, that never gets old.) Karl and I have a flat! (That’s apartment to you Americans.)
We went to look at a little place in the same building that I work in two weeks ago, and it was nice. “Cosy”, but nice. High ceilings, nicely decorated, combined living room/kitchen area etc. We decided that evening we were going to go for it, went and filled in the forms the next day (after going to the wrong branch of the estate agent and then spending half an hour organising transport to get to the other branch ..but we won’t get into that). Paid the admin fees and holding deposit, and then waited…
We went for a second look round (to take pictures) and to see what was left (because there was a guy still living there when we went ’round the first time). Strangely, his furniture was still there — despite the flat being advertised as unfurnished — so we’ve no idea how it’s going to look empty.. Anyway, I got a call from the estate agent this morning asking when we want to move in, and it’s been arranged for 3pm tomorrow! How exciting! :)
This means that my Internet may be flaky over the next few weeks depending on how quickly we can get things moved in and then set up, connected, etc. Blogging won’t necessarily be affected because I can do that during my lunch break or from my Mum’s, but I won’t have as much time to answer e-mails etc. If you have a coding query, go to CodeGrrl. w00t!

Nice apartment! Hope that you’ll love it! The pregnant catch never gets old…and always works. Best not to use it too much because if you really do get pregnent, then no one will believe it.

Whoa, a flat of your own. I’m sure this will be a very exciting moment for the two of you. And furnishing a brand new place sounds really enjoyable to me, since I have an interest for interior design. And I noticed the other guy seemed to have a liking for white and wooden furniture. :P Heh.

LOL. Why your new place looks like the one I built in Sims 2? Little advice – try your best not to argue over household chores & finances. Make a list of who’s responsible for what. As minute as it may seems, it will be that one thing that can break ya’ll apart.

Congratulations on the new apartment/flat Jem and Karl! It really does look cozy (or cosy?). I still have yet to find an affordable one in my area… I hate California for this haha! Are you planning to sell the previous owner’s stuff or are you just going to keep them? I think it’d look a lot more “Jem and Karl” if it’s completely furnished with your personal touches. :) Can’t wait to see more pictures in the future!
