Lesson One: Pissing off Audi Drivers

In case you’re the curious type, here’s a quick lesson on pissing off illegally parked Audi TT drivers who think that Reserved Parking very clearly marked as private right in front of the space is theirs to use as they choose:

bad parking

Park behind them!

And in case the bright blue Astra behind them (with the flashing orange traffic cone in the back) didn’t get their attention, the note we attached to our rear-windscreen asking “NEVER HEARD OF PRIVATE PARKING?” must have, because they scribbled back “NEVER MADE A MISTAKE YOU SARCASTIC BASTARD!”.

Nope. I can honestly say I’ve never parked in someone else’s parking space before, cockface. :D

ETA: in case any of you weren’t aware, I don’t actually drive! It was Karl who pulled this nifty stunt. :D

Update (23rd Jan): because some people seem to think that this is just “typical treatment of an Audi TT driver”, let me put your mind to rest: I would park behind ANY twat rude enough to assume they have the right to park in our reserved, clearly marked parking spot, irrelevant of the car they drive. Act like a knob, get treated like one.. simple logic really.

  1. And people wonder why I don’t drive. lol BTW, is JemURL your site?

  2. Or, I guess I got it backwards, it’s JEMurl.

  3. I can honestly say I’ve never parked in someone else’s parking space before of course you haven’t Jem – you don’t drive :P hehe

BTW, is JemURL your site? No, it was just pointed out to me and I found it very apt :D edit: POINTED OUT TO ME BY AMELIE!!! (that better? :P )

  5. ^ *Ahem*, I wonder who pointed it out to you? I do drive and I’ve never parked in someone else’s space before either. Stupid idiots.

  6. edit: POINTED OUT TO ME BY AMELIE!!! (that better? :P ) *Nods* :P

  7. I park at another companies parking lot which is right across from where I work. My company doesn’t have enough parking space and since I work during the evening the other company is closed. So I can’t honestly say I never parked in someone else’s spot, but I never parked at a private parking spot. Parking in a private lot is not a mistake; it’s thinking you won’t get caught taking the easiest parking spot available.. I love the note attached to the window though, and it’s even funnier they wrote something back.

  8. Parking in a private lot is not a mistake; it’s thinking you won’t get caught taking the easiest parking spot available.. EXACTLY! Like those stupid lazy idiots (usually in expensive Mercs/BMWs/4x4s) who decide that the disabled parking places are all theirs and then depriving legitimate users of that privilege. Argh, I hate them.

  9. Hahaha, amazing. There’s a few people out here that are worthy of that treatment *coughSOUTHLANDSASSCLOWNcough*, but I like my car free of being keyed, although getting into shouting matches in the middle of public with them is a guilty pleasure of mine. >:D

  10. Lol!! omg, that’s the best.. I should really try doing that to the idiots who park in my apartment complex. Go you!!

  11. The first time I went to a public high school (Orientation), I wanted to blend in and fit in. When we got there, my mom decided to park in a teacher’s parking spot. I couldn’t stand it, (“What if we get CAUGHT?”), and my conscience was tearing me into shreds. I think my nerves about going to the school for the first time completely took over.

  12. *laugh* That’s too funny. Would of been great if you had a picture of the guy’s face when he discovered that he got caught stealing your parking spot! The only thing worst than someone stealing a private parking spot are those huge gas gussling SUVs that park in the handicap parking spots. Seriously! Those are for the disabled and the elderly, not for someone who is too fat and lazy to walk an extra two steps to get into the mall (or where ever they are going).

  13. Haha…I laugh. Rarely have I ever seen such incidents occur.

  14. Heh, that’s funny. I don’t drive, so I don’t have that problem. Yet.

  15. Well I bet he/she got the message! Let’s hope that they scratched their very expensive car to hell getting it out *grin* and looking on the bright side, not only did karl get to use his flashing traffic cone but if they damaged your car they must have left fingerprints on either your rear window or the paper they wrote on, I still can’t figure out how driving towards a clearly marked sign that does state the space is private as you park one could possibly miss the sign, unless of course they drive with their eyes closed.

  16. maybe your letter writings to each other could have blossomed into a friendship??

  17. Jo, did you see the pic of the note itself? ;) http://sirbendy.jemjabella.co.uk/ On there..heh.

  18. Like those stupid lazy idiots (usually in expensive Mercs/BMWs/4x4s) who decide that the disabled parking places are all theirs and then depriving legitimate users of that privilege Don’t even get me STARTED on that one Amelie!! (Mind you, if you’ve ever read my blog, you’ll know what I think about that… ;) ) Nice one, Jem!! XD

  19. ^ Likewise. I have no use for those spaces, but certain family members of mine do. I can’t STAND the idiots who park there because they’re far too lazy to look elsewhere or walk. I was walking through the Sainsbury’s car park earlier today, and they have a rather large disabled parking area. Not ONE of all the cars parked there (and the area was full) had a Blue Badge. I felt like throwing things at their windows. >:(

@Amelie: you should have taken pictures and sent them in to caughtya.org

  21. It was too dark for my camera phone and I didn’t have my nice digicam with me :(

  22. Heh. My father had something like this happen to him in college. One day when he and his friends were looking for a reserved carpooling space, they couldn’t find one, which was odd because there are only enough spots for the number of carpoolers registered. When they found the car that was in a reserved spot without a carpool tag, they got out and literally picked up the car and moved it to the side walk, then parked and went to class.

  23. Nice. I really do hope, Jo Cowell, that they did scratch their car to hell. :D Man, stupid idiot…

  24. Haha damn. When that happens to me I feel like I want to smash the other car into pieces :P But that’s just me!

  25. Nice… I wouldnt mind doing that. Its pretty interesting what people think they can do nowadays huh? Well, I hope nothing happened to your friends car. :D

Well, I hope nothing happened to your friends car. :D Karl’s not just my friend, he’s my partner, but no – his car is fine :)

  27. Ahahaha, reminds me of a recent experience. Stupid woman parked so close to me I couldn’t get my door open to get The Kid in. If my vehicle wasn’t brand new (and a lease at that) I woulda banged her car. :P I had to go in the store and loudly complain about the moron, turned out she was standing right there. She went out (no apology or acknowledgment), moved, and then did the exact same thing to someone else at the nearby store (which she was too lazy to walk to, by the way). I have figured this is because parking her passenger side very close to someone else gives her fat butt more room to get out of her vehicle. She’s just very lucky her little kid didn’t scratch my Jeep! Okay. Breathing…. /rant.

  28. I have a parking spot that’s against a wall and I have to parallel park to get into it if both my neighbors are home.. Well, one day I come home, and both my neighbors are there, and some asshole parked not IN my spot, but right NEXT to it, thus blocking me from getting in. I was pissed. I kicked the car and set the alarm off and waited for somebody to come out.
