I missed my first RED January Day yesterday as my body rebelled against me. I was absolutely gutted at messing up my streak so felt I had to make it count today; killed two birds with one stone and did my local run club's timeless 5km while I was at it. Now need to de-sweat and hope my uterus doesn't seek revenge because I dared move today 🙄

The only problem with running down into the valley

The only problem with running down into the valley is that it's uphill all the way home. Ironbridge looked pretty though.

I've been living, lifting and running in Vivo Bare

I've been living, lifting and running in Vivo Barefoot shoes for as long as I can remember, but as I am rapidly wearing through the sole of my trail shoes I figured I'd give these Merrell "Vapor Glove 4" barefoot running shoes a go. Felt more snug than expected but not in a bad way (there's a "fits like a glove" joke in there somewhere) and no problems with rubbing or pinching. Obviously I'll take them on a longer run at some point but so far so good. 👍

Had company on today's #REDJanuary - not very often I can convince both of them to come out with me. Although having to give the small one a piggyback for a quarter mile wasn't part of the plan 😮‍💨
