Kids had a blood test on the other side of Telford this morning, so an early start for everyone, rush back for school, then did a cheeky unplanned mile to my recovery massage appointment with @nogymrequiredpt - as it was quicker than driving round the local road closures 🙄 THEN had to walk back, drop daughter's bike off at school (while almost being run over) and now I have 5 minutes to myself I'm going to sit here and hope my body absorbs this ham roll by osmosis or something. #dead

This is my "oof that hurts" face 😂 Fantastic run at Shrewsbury Half Marathon this morning. Smashed all my expectations, chatted to a lot of people, enjoyed the support from locals & other runners and took over 15 minutes off last year's time. It's not a half PB (my half pb isn't in Strava) but it's not far off it, on what is objectively a much harder course. Did get a few other PBs though. Really pleased. 😁

It's a bit wet out 🌧️ last run before Shrewsbury Half Marathon at the weekend. I've completely failed to do any long run training but my overall fitness should see me through without too much issue. Must try harder for next year though 😬

Came down with a cold last week which disappeared while I was in Portugal then reappeared as I landed. Have felt utterly dead since Monday but forced myself up and out to the gym this morning and am 200% better for it. 💪 Baby squats, deadlifts, bench; not on plan but have a half marathon this weekend that I'm saving myself for 😬 The yawn, me having a good scratch & super 🐫 toe make this photo extra special. 🤣 Hope you appreciate this top notch content 😎
