Britney Spears Loses Her Children
I’ve just heard that Britney Spears has lost custody of her children to her (ex?) husband K-Fed. Now, I don’t know much about all that’s gone on with her but for a judge to hand over custody to the father over the mother, she must have done something pretty screwed up. I’m sure many of us know how biased the family law system can be!
Oh well, I hope for the sake of those poor kids that they’re in safe hands, and that Spears can take the necessary steps to regain her 50% custody. I can’t stand the woman’s celebrity “persona” but those babies need all the love they can get.

Father got custody? Wow, that’s unusual… I wonder what she did. *hugs* to her for losing custody of her children. That must really suck.

Kevin got custody? I’m not as surprised as I thought I would be. I wonder how much the ex-bodyguard’s testimony weighed into the decision. Why must I have a long day of classes today? I need to go home and watch E! Why yes, I am a sad person.

I think K-Fed is a better choice than Britney. And I am a hardcore Britney fan. Something is seriously wrong with Brit, she is mentally ill, and I seriously think she could kill herself at a moments notice. She’s much better away from them, because she doesn’t care about anything anymore. She doesn’t care about herself, or her career, and therefore can’t care for her children the way they need to be cared for.
From all of the stuff I’ve seen, K-Fed was actually the better choice…
At least the kids can try and pretend that it wasn’t their mother who paraded around on stage like a prostitute before being voted worst dance sequence ever. All I can say is good, Ms Spears needed a damn good slap in the face and I hope this works. Finally, I can’t wait for this blog to become more like Heat magazine. Jem, if you can slag off celebrities like you can websites I’m getting the popcorn in, sitting down and watching.
Although both parents have problems, I’m glad the father got custody. Britney was just a little to over the top! No kids should be in that type of environment. Not that K-Fed’s is the best either. Maybe the grandmother should try to gain custody?
Perhaps now she got that wake up blow to the head she so desperately needs.
Forget the oddity of giving the father custody — what about the fact that it’s *K-FED* that got custody? Who ever thought that would happen? I wouldn’t give K-Fed custody over a gnat, much less children. I pretty much think neither of them should have custody because, well, look at them. But, alas, I am not a judge.
She needs a wake up call. If you look at pictures of her handing the kids over to KFed’s bodyguard she doesn’t look sad at all. I sometimes love Britney to death, but seriously, WTF is wrong with this woman sometimes?
I hate that Kevin got custody. He’s just as bad, if not worse.
Ooh, Brit/K-Fed drama. I’m surprised you posted about this, too - it doesn’t seem in your usual realm of things. I freaking HATE K-Fed. Britney at least tries to be a good person… it’s just that she fails miserably, but at least there’s an intent and a kind heart underneath it all. K-Fed is just one sodding, heartless, self-serving bastard with nobody in mind but his own self. I feel SO bad for the kids.

I don’t think we should judge either too harshly. It is hard to know all the details unless your involved. All we can hope for is that the babies get the best care possible.
I agree with Chessnoid - I pray those babies are safe and looked after.
While I have no idea what’s gone on (or going on) with the pair I don’t see either of them as responsible parents. I feel sorry for the children. I remember when the media was all, “KFED IS RUINING BRITNEY!!!” and now they’re all on his side. They can’t make up their minds, that’s for sure. I’ll do it for them: neither of them appear fit to raise a child.

No matter how fucked up on drugs she is loosing the children most likely will bring her even further down. I hope the best for the children and that they will grow up to be safe. Here in Denmark a new law that should help more fathers to get a more fair custody agreement over their children was recently voted in. It will be interesting to see all the females who usually screams and yells about equality between men and women on the job market give up their 100% custody to the fathers and still think it’s should be the most natural thing to do.
Well, K-Fed’s first wife did say that when he was with his other kids, he was a good father. So, who knows? He could surprise us.
I think they would have been better with Grandma Spears. But that’s just my opinion. =)
Huh? I think I’m on the wrong site :P. Yes, is it rare to see a father take custody of the children. I’ve heard on the radio that it’s only temporary though so if Britney gets herself together, who knows? I just hope that both parents come to a decision that will be in the best interest of the children. Britney also needs to rebuild her relationship with her mother because it could help her “get back on the road to recovery”.
Actually, she still has 50% legal custody of the kids, she just lost physical custody of them. And why? Because she was formally charged with a hit-and-run and driving without a valid license, last week, and she couldn’t produce a valid California drivers license. She also didn’t fail the drug test, or more accurately, there’s no proof she failed the test.
Oh yea, and the hit-and-run was a couple months ago. I forsee her getting her kids back soon, actually.
@Corinne: Nobody really cares about Britney (or I don’t). As I said above.. the post was more about the rarity of awarding custody - any type - to the father over the mother. I’ve heard of heroin addict mothers keeping custody, even!
I was such a huge fan of Britney, and I still am in some ways, but I don’t pity her at all. She didn’t even seem affected by all this. =/ I just hope the kids stay safe and well taken care of.
I bet K-Fed doesn’t walk around naked in his house and talk strangely to his kids as much as this feels wrong he’s got to be somewhat of a better roll model until Brittany really cleans up her life! Just my opinion!
I am not too bothered about the whole Brit / K-fed she said he said, I just hope the kids are loved and bought up in a secure and loving environment. Otherwise they’ll turn out just as screwed up as she’s becomming.

Hi Jem, I agree it is rare that the father gets awarded custody, but in this case because of the celebrity status, she may be getting more punishment than if she was a regular person not under the microscope. Wouldn’t you agree?
