Summer Reading Challenge
I’m taking part in the Transworld Dan Brown Summer Reading Challenge!
Between the Lines (Transworld Publishers) are having a summer reading challenge which should give me the opportunity to read and review some books for free! (My favourite price.)
I’ve picked the following four (the first I’ve wanted to read for a while, the others I picked at random):
- The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown
- Assassin by Tom Cain
- Lockdown by Sean Black
- 61 Hours by Lee Child
If you’re EU-based and taking part, let me know what books you’re reading. If and when you post the reviews let me know and we can get some inter-linking review fun going on. :D
Warning
This post is over 6 months old. This means that, despite my best intentions, it may no longer be accurate. Age, motherhood, experience, loss... these things have all changed me from when this blog was started back in the heady (ha) days of my youth.
As much as I would like to go back and edit 10 years of archives to provide an insight into the 'me' of now — to update coding snippets and revise website advice — it would probably take years to do so (by which point I'd have to start again!) This would defeat the point of keeping these archives anyway.
Please take these posts for what they are: a brief look into my past, my history, my journey.

Reading Dan Brown sounds like utter torture.

I’m taking part too. :)

This sounds really cool, I’m looking forward to your reviews! I wish we had something like this going on in the US, it’d be the perfect thing to do this summer.

The Lost Symbol sucked. I loved Angels and Deamons, Code was OKAY, then Symbol just tanked hardcore. I kept waiting and waiting for the climax at the end and… well, I’ll let you read it. Curious to hear what you think though!
I hadn’t heard of the other books. I’m not EU based, but I’ll probably check them out.

The Lost Symbol was great until 30 pages from the end so stop there!! Like the new design btw!

Not fair. I wanna join. But then I live in the US, so I will just join you anyway & get my books from my library. *razzs* Reads Angels & Demons to start the trilogy. Have fun Jem. *You know you could join Pages & get the rewards also*

Aww, EU only! Sounds like a lot of fun. Although like Stephanie, I agree that Dan Brown is lots of pain.

I must one of the few people left on the planet yet to read a Dan Brown novel, not sure I’m going to rush to change that if the comments above are a guide.
