Birthday Thank Yous

I just wanted to say a quick thank you for all of the birthday wishes yesterday. E-mails, facepoop messages, the thread at Snark, the thread at the q*bee bbs.. it was quite lovely. I had a nice day, got some great (geeky) books off Karl and a hot chocolate mug set and maltesers from the lads and ladies at work. I had two types of cake (chocolate, and lemon drizzle) and I even had fish and chips for my tea :9

It’s somewhat odd, the older I get, the more delight I take from the simple pleasures in life.

This post is over 6 months old. This means that, despite my best intentions, it may no longer be accurate. Age, motherhood, experience, loss... these things have all changed me from when this blog was started back in the heady (ha) days of my youth.

As much as I would like to go back and edit 10 years of archives to provide an insight into the 'me' of now — to update coding snippets and revise website advice — it would probably take years to do so (by which point I'd have to start again!) This would defeat the point of keeping these archives anyway.

Please take these posts for what they are: a brief look into my past, my history, my journey.

    MMM Chocolate cake. That is the one type of cake I always love to have. Not big on the icing, it’s the cake type! Although yellow cake is just as nummy.

    I think last year I had an assortment of cheesecakes. Om nom nom nom.
