NinjaLinks Private Testing

NinjaLinks was released for initial rounds of private testing this morning. Don’t feel left out if you weren’t included on the e-mail, only those who’d expressed a very specific interest were mailed.

I’ve updated one of my subdomains to run on the script: jemjabella listings. If you qualify according to the guidelines and want to join, please do so, it’s good “live testing”. Likewise, those who are already listed but who have changed URL, got a new e-mail address, whatever… try the update form.

Please report any errors back to me, either using the comments here or via jem@jemjabella.co.uk :)

Warning

This post is over 6 months old. This means that, despite my best intentions, it may no longer be accurate. Age, motherhood, experience, loss... these things have all changed me from when this blog was started back in the heady (ha) days of my youth.

As much as I would like to go back and edit 10 years of archives to provide an insight into the 'me' of now — to update coding snippets and revise website advice — it would probably take years to do so (by which point I'd have to start again!) This would defeat the point of keeping these archives anyway.

Please take these posts for what they are: a brief look into my past, my history, my journey.

The site seems pretty sweet. I’m not joining or doing anything that might be considered “live testing” (don’t qualify!), but yeah. It looks cool. :P

    I feel rejected, I don’t qualify anymore with my ‘just a blog’. :( :P

Oo I totally agree with Nyx Midnight – I can’t wait for the release. I need to upgrade the script I use for my listings asap.

Another one waiting. However jemjabella listings looks great! I like the way the script looks on the frontend. :)

Blast it! I musn’t've expressed my interest specifically enough ;) I’m jazzed NinjaLinks is closer to being released publicly…
Any word on how long it will be in private beta? Considering how freakin’ busy you are, is there any chance you’ll have time to whip up a conversion script for certain other widely used and abused directory scripts?

    P.S. Love the new blue!

    NinjaLinks… woohoo!

I was kinda expecting for another “Bella” name for this directory script but NinjaLinks sounds catchy enough for me! :)

I’ve been waiting for a more secure script since the old SimpleDir days. I feel bad somewhat being inactive in my own directory (Cherry Bomb) because I was getting really pissed off with SimpleDir and I haven’t found an alternative that is also secure at the same time. I’ll be looking forward to the script once it’s out and ready.

Thanks again for your awesome work! I currently started taking classes in PHP and I still am having trouble understanding the basics alone. The includes was understanding enough but all the rest I’m still an idiot with. I’ll prevail someday… one day…

Ever since I emailed you in March to inquire about the script and you thought you would probably have it ready in about a month back then, I had been checking back as often as I could, so when I noticed the change at the Glitter directory just now, I thought, “Great! At last it’s ready and I can finally switch from SimpleDir to Jem’s script!”

Hopefully, it will be released soon. I’ve been looking forward to this and can’t wait!

I don’t know if you planned to or not, but you should add some mod_rewrite rules.

    Looks good, though.
