jem.me becomes a collective

I finally updated jem.me — I’m going to use it as a collective for all of my mini sites :) (Thanks to Jacky for the fancy layout!)

Warning

This post is over 6 months old. This means that, despite my best intentions, it may no longer be accurate. Age, motherhood, experience, loss... these things have all changed me from when this blog was started back in the heady (ha) days of my youth.

As much as I would like to go back and edit 10 years of archives to provide an insight into the 'me' of now — to update coding snippets and revise website advice — it would probably take years to do so (by which point I'd have to start again!) This would defeat the point of keeping these archives anyway.

Please take these posts for what they are: a brief look into my past, my history, my journey.

    Ha, that’s really cute!
If you haven’t already, I suggest making a Wak’s Ask & Answer hatelisting. I know you have endless hatred for that piece of junk.

    Nice.
I still need to get mine set up. After hug.me didn’t work out I got jolly.me and best-of.me. Silly me for getting domains I don’t need. Oh well.

    Just visited your jem.me website,
“Absolutely doesn’t work properly in Internet Explorer and I cannot be arsed to fix it. I’ll get round to it; perhaps when pigs learn to fly.”

Gosh, I always got the impression that you disliked websites that weren’t cross browser compatability. And now your one of your own websites isn’t working properly in IE.

Have you actually looked in IE Jabed? Because it works properly. In fact, it *works* exactly the same as it does in Firefox. It just looks crap because of the transparent pngs.

Oh, cute! It’s so… nice. LOL, I knew it would be powered by Chyrp.

Heh, no sorry I actually haven’t, I almost never open/start IE, so I just assumed that it didn’t work because you said it didn’t ‘work properly’. Sorry if I sounded really rude from my previous comment, I was trying to find some irony, guess I’m crap at finding it :(

Heh, I didn’t think you were being rude, I just wanted you to know what my definition of “doesn’t work” is ;)

How do you like Chyrp so far?

I’m working on making my new site and I thought of using it instead of WordPress, as only the blog part will be script-powered.

Other than that it looks great. :D
