It Only Takes a Few Words
Four years ago I joined a forum called Seduced. It was not a bad place to be at first, but it eventually turned to shit. I decided to stop posting there, but did not lose touch with the friends I met. I still follow the likes of Chrissy and Angela via their blogs.
Unfortunately, Angela is going through a rough time right now. Late last year, her father suffered a serious stroke which has left him in need of constant care. Angela — who is currently trying to find a job/go to interviews, look after her father and her brother — is struggling to pay the bills and keep herself housed because she can’t get power of attorney to take over her father’s finances. She can’t afford a lawyer to help her because again, she can’t get to her father’s bank account. It’s a vicious circle.
Angela really needs our support right now. Your support right now. It really does only take a few words to make someone feel a little better, and the more you and I rally around her the better her chances of being able to get through her difficult personal situation. Even if you don’t know Angela personally, it only takes a little basic human compassion to reach out.

This post is over 6 months old. This means that, despite my best intentions, it may no longer be accurate. Age, motherhood, experience, loss... these things have all changed me from when this blog was started back in the heady (ha) days of my youth.
As much as I would like to go back and edit 10 years of archives to provide an insight into the 'me' of now — to update coding snippets and revise website advice — it would probably take years to do so (by which point I'd have to start again!) This would defeat the point of keeping these archives anyway.
