I’m Sorry

I can’t help myself. Inspiration is a disease and it must find a way out somehow. (ZOMG! New layout!)

Warning

This post is over 6 months old. This means that, despite my best intentions, it may no longer be accurate. Age, motherhood, experience, loss... these things have all changed me from when this blog was started back in the heady (ha) days of my youth.

As much as I would like to go back and edit 10 years of archives to provide an insight into the 'me' of now — to update coding snippets and revise website advice — it would probably take years to do so (by which point I'd have to start again!) This would defeat the point of keeping these archives anyway.

Please take these posts for what they are: a brief look into my past, my history, my journey.

    I don’t like how the header seems to take a chunk out of the layout, but apart from that, I think this is one of your best.

    I’m loving the blue and orange colour combo. Something about the header doesn’t amaze me, though – the pattern isn’t appealing to me.

    Now THIS I love. I always love the dark greys+blues colour palette, and I’m a complete sucker for the type of pattern you used in the header. And you even brought the chibi ninja back!

    Gotta say I favor this one tons more…I don’t mean to criticize at all, but the other one seemed a bit too juvenile and not your usual awesome style at all.

    IThis layout is amazing. (I actually loathed your last one… it seemed too “thrown together”). The only complaint I have is your arrows for the asides are rather difficult to see. Aside from that, perfection!

    I like this one so much better. I really wasn’t a fan of the last one you had. I like the darker layouts. Great job Jem. You brought the ninja back, yay.

    This layout is very attractive,I like the style of it.But I’m not very fond of the pattern you use,it reminds me of my Grandma’s old table cloths.

    I was more fond of the other one, TBH. I know I’m in the minority here, but these kinds of layouts (the current one) seems a very default style for you; it’s something you’re comfortable with. I loved the boldness (yet simplicity) of the previous one, it just seemed very different from this style of yours. On the other hand, I’m quite pleased that the ninja is back! :)

    I LOVE IT! The site title, with the catchphrase is also nice, I like how the J overlaps the catchphrase =) Very very nice. Maybe your should have a page for themes… just in case you decide to not get rid of some entirely. Anyway, I like this one much better than the previous one.

    Ehh, I don’t really like the header, the drop shadow doesn’t flow that well. The text is too sharp for it. x_X

    I adore this layout. It doesn’t hurt my eyes! Squidfingers patterns rock.
