Christmas Wishlist
Because I’m a materialistic twat, and know full well that at least two people buying me gifts this year read my website, I’ve compiled a short list of things that I’d like for Christmas. :D
- An Asus EEE netbook. Linux version, preferably the 901. (hahaha, keep wishing Jem)
- High Performance MySQL by multiple authors
- The roll-up mouse mat with built in usb hub
- Subscription to .net mag while the 42% off/1GB USB drive offer is still running
- Emoticon fridge magnets from etsy
- Any of the other crap on my Amazon wishlist
Thanks in advance :P
Warning
This post is over 6 months old. This means that, despite my best intentions, it may no longer be accurate. Age, motherhood, experience, loss... these things have all changed me from when this blog was started back in the heady (ha) days of my youth.
As much as I would like to go back and edit 10 years of archives to provide an insight into the 'me' of now — to update coding snippets and revise website advice — it would probably take years to do so (by which point I'd have to start again!) This would defeat the point of keeping these archives anyway.
Please take these posts for what they are: a brief look into my past, my history, my journey.

LOL at the libel and slander law books. Afraid of getting sued, or do you just want the ability to tell people off properly when they accuse you of the two? :P
-
Erm, either I’m reading it wrong, or .net magazine is only 42% off for people in the US (10% off for people in Europe).

I want that roll-up mouse pad. Thanks a lot Jem, I don’t have $22 to spend, but I really want it. D:

You know Jem, I could make you those emotes. I think I could even make them cheaper then the $15 that they are charging (you get discounts with me, only shipping & supplies i.e. fabric & floss). But it depends on how quickly you want them & which ones you want. If you are interested then email me & tell me which emotes you want. After Christmas & Embrace I will be free to take on another project & those look like something I would love to do even for myself. If I make them for myself then I can make them for you.

When looking at your Amazon wishlist I was thinking, “Fictionplz?” XD You truly are hardcore at your.. geekiness? Geeks FTW! Once you get all those law books, you can pwn some more net thieves!

I wish to have the Asus EEE or a mini notebook too! :P

Getting an EEE was the best choice I ever made :). They’re fantastic!

I love the Asus EEE. A friend’s got it and I’m totally jealous.

I personally love the visual quickpro guides, hope that someone gets you those.

hehehe, this was great! *runs off to write own list*

A bit cheaper than an Eee, is the HP Mininote..we’ve got one at work as a test. They’re pushing them out stupidly cheap now. Eee sized, but metal finish, quite tough.

Yeah, so… I can make an awesome paper model of an Eee… would that count?
