Bloghopping Woes
I’m bloghopping; visiting a blog, reading for a while, then moving on to the next by way of the links/exits page. Except, every single click in the past half an hour has landed me on a site with text smaller than 9px. Crazy fools think I’ve got magnifying eyes or something?!
Warning
This post is over 6 months old. This means that, despite my best intentions, it may no longer be accurate. Age, motherhood, experience, loss... these things have all changed me from when this blog was started back in the heady (ha) days of my youth.
As much as I would like to go back and edit 10 years of archives to provide an insight into the 'me' of now — to update coding snippets and revise website advice — it would probably take years to do so (by which point I'd have to start again!) This would defeat the point of keeping these archives anyway.
Please take these posts for what they are: a brief look into my past, my history, my journey.

You have, it’s called Ctrl+ :P

I can’t believe that people would link to those sites. XD

Ninjas don’t read; they feel.

Oh, but small text looks so much tidier!

I find that tiny text generally means that the content isn’t worth browsing. Direct correlation. :P

If that happens to often with me, i just stop browsing and play Command & Conquer instead. Somehow, blowing up buildings and killing little men makes everything better.

We’re too old for the internets.

It’s like those mosquito ringtones only under 20s can hear – Over 20s can’t read your text!

LOL, I do that too. Except I actually do have a magnifying glass. :D

Remember when tiny font was cool? I was so cool then! Now I’m older and need larger font, I’m uncool now ;3

Small text is “tidy”, true. My biggest issue with people who use small text is they also tend to make their line height almost non existent and the color either not contrasted enough or too contrasted. Nothing looks worse then black 7 pixel font on a white background whos letters run into each other and lines are smooshed into the ones above, it winds up looking like a blob of somethingortheother unrecognizable. You would have to be hiding the mysteries of the universe in your site for me to put that much effort toward reading it.
