Growing out of McDonalds

As a kid I always loved McDonald’s. Didn’t get the opportunity to go very often because Mum generally refused to let us eat “that shit” but when I was invited to a birthday party there, or something like that.. you bet I’d scoff that food down. As a student, due to the locality of the local McD’s (right near the college) we ate there 2-3 times a week, sometimes more.

These days I’ve reverted back to “childhood mode”, opting to visit every couple of months (maybe less) when I’ve got a day off work. Except today — for the second time in the past several months — I’ve eaten there and ended up feeling incredibly tired and bloated. I have stomach trouble, and generally take cover in the bathroom until I can guarantee all is safe. (TMI? Sorry.)

This of course makes me wonder if I’m growing out of McDonald’s. I mean, it can’t be a reaction to meat on the whole (although I don’t eat a lot of meat, I had no problem with my mixed grill on Monday) so I wonder if it’s the general combo of fats, grease, processed cheese and possibly roadkill that forms my burger… is there an age limit on McBurgers? Jeez, I hope I don’t start having a bad reaction to my other favourite junk food, I might actually end up healthy! :(

  1. Oh yeah, headaches at the right temple within 1 hour of eating McD’s. So ……………….. no more for me.

  2. I just regrettably ate some McDonald’s and now I have cold sweats, I feel light-headed and a little queasy in the stomach. It’s been a while since I last ate the crap, but I was in a hurry, in an inconvenient spot and hungry. Damn, how did they build such a massive empire with that sub-par, pseudo food they call burgers and fries. Next time I’ll starve myself instead of eating that sh*t.
