What the F..ork?

I pre-ordered the new Harvest Moon for Nindento DS (at the same time as the new Harvest Moon for the GameCube) months and months ago. I got an e-mail last week telling me that the DS part of the order was delayed. I have just logged in to find out the details and spotted the new delivery date: “Delivery estimate: 5 Mar 2007 – 7 Mar 2007“!

What the hell kind of bloody delay is that?! Nintendo, you disappoint me. :( Amazon best ship the GameCube game despite the other half of the order being delayed…

(Note: those waiting on me for script modifications, fixes, etc.. I’ve not forgotten. I still have very flaky Internet so I’m doing what I can when I can …and fighting an overflowing inbox in the process.)

As much as I would like to go back and edit 10 years of archives to provide an insight into the 'me' of now — to update coding snippets and revise website advice — it would probably take years to do so (by which point I'd have to start again!) This would defeat the point of keeping these archives anyway.

    I recently got my new iPod shuffle (my first iPod ever) and it came 3 days after I ordered it. I felt incredibly lucky.

    I’ve heard a lot of complaints about Amazon taking longer than necessary to send out shipments. I’ve never personally used it before, but just from what I’ve read throughout the internet… unless they’re the ONLY place that has it, I’ll stray. Actually, wait, I remember ordering a XD flash drive from there last year, and I think it was sent in a timely matter. Or was it from the fujifilm website..? hmm…

    Well, last time that happened to me, I made them give me my $ for delivery back. I had ordered a new laptop. I paid for 2 day delivery. It came in 3 days, lol. I complained enough to get my money back. Can I be annoying? Yes. But I’m damn good at it.

    I’ve never had any problems with delivery from Amazon, but then again, I’ve never pre-ordered anything… 2007 is an awful delivery estimate!

    Amazon always overestimates how long it takes to send to me, but they’re usually only about a week or two off. March seems excessive…I think you can set/change it to ship as the items become available instead of all at once.

    Harvest Moon DS looks great, I’m tempted to buy a DS for it. I don’t know when HMDS will be out in Australia, it’s already been out for some time in the States. -__- I’m very curious about HM Rune Factory though. Farming AND battles? AND OMG I CAN’T WAIT TILL THE HARVEST MOON ONLINE GAME IS FINISHED (or started). Sucks about the delivery dates! Though could it be not so much that it’s Amazon’s slow delivery but that HMDS isn’t going to be released in your area for a while to come?

    Could Nintendo have decided that it’s not going to release the game for the DS but that it will come out for the Wii, or have a release date for the two systems at the time?

    I’ve preordered Burning Crusade, the expansion pack for WoW. Hopefully I’ll get it when it’s *supposed* to. It’s the first game I’ve ever preordered..
