Happy New Years!

Happy 2006 everyone! From reading various blogs/journals, I see that most of you enjoyed your new years celebrations, yay :)

I’ve read tons of entries about people having a sucky 2005 and they hope this year is better.. but I can’t say as I agree. I finished college, got my first job and first pay packet, my first ever new job interview, saw my Dad, gained a nephew and started teaching my niece to count (so cute) all in 2005, so it was a great year. I hope that 2006 is just as good, or perhaps better?

I haven’t made any new years resolutions because I failed most of last years within a month; thus I don’t see the point. I do have a few goals though.. including teaching myself perl with my new book, perhaps getting back into .NET programming and definitely getting a new job. I’m also hoping to get BellaBook3.1 released: that should happen sooner that most of you expect as I’ve been working on it for the past 5-6 hours, as well as 4-5 hours last night. More yay! :)

So, after a bit of a random higgle-dee-piggle-dee entry, I’ll end with best wishes to everyone, and I hope you guys have a prosperous new year.

This post is over 6 months old. This means that, despite my best intentions, it may no longer be accurate. Age, motherhood, experience, loss... these things have all changed me from when this blog was started back in the heady (ha) days of my youth.

As much as I would like to go back and edit 10 years of archives to provide an insight into the 'me' of now — to update coding snippets and revise website advice — it would probably take years to do so (by which point I'd have to start again!) This would defeat the point of keeping these archives anyway.

Please take these posts for what they are: a brief look into my past, my history, my journey.

    Have a very happy new year, and I do hope it’s even better than last year. I’ve made no new year’s resolutions either for fear of breaking them, again. Oh,and I like the new themes, by the way.

    Happy New Year to you, too! I’m not sure about the prosperous part, I’m having to start college this year myself, and apparently college students are poor… =( Woohoo, glad your ’05 was a good one, though. And don’t stare at the computer monitor for too long, it’s unhealthy. *cough* xD
